The Collected Works of Harriet Beecher Stowe<\/em> (CWHBS<\/em>) has commissioned LuElla D’Amico and Robin L. Cadwallader to edit Children’s Stories, volumes 23 and 24. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

LuElla D\u2019Amico<\/a> is Associate Professor of English and Coordinator of the Women\u2019s and Gender Studies program at the University of the Incarnate Word, where she teaches a variety of courses in early and nineteenth-century American literature and culture. Her primary research interests include girlhood and girl culture, transatlanticism, and women\u2019s religious writing in the long nineteenth century.\u00a0\u00a0She has published articles in\u00a0Literature and Belief, ESQ,\u00a0Girlhood Studies<\/em>,\u00a0Children\u2019s Literature Association Quarterly<\/em>,\u00a0Children’s Literature in Education<\/em>\u00a0as well as book chapters in the collections\u00a0Who Writes for Black Children? African American Children’s Literature Before 1900\u00a0<\/em>(U of Minnesota P, 2017) and\u00a0Nineteenth-Century American Women Writers and Theologies of the Afterlife<\/em>\u00a0(Routledge, 2021), among numerous other venues. She also has edited a volume about the history of girls\u2019 series books in the U.S. titled\u00a0Girls\u2019 Series Fiction and American Popular Culture<\/em>\u00a0(Lexington, 2017),<\/em>\u00a0and is co-editor (with Robin L. Cadwallader) of\u00a0Reading Transatlantic Girlhood in the Long Nineteenth Century<\/em>\u00a0(Routledge, 2020). She is currently guest editing an issue of\u00a0Women\u2019s Studies<\/em>\u00a0about Harriet Beecher Stowe (forthcoming 2022) and is co-editing (with Lindsay Katzir) a new collection of essays,\u00a0Between Worlds: Nineteenth-Century Transatlantic Women Writers and Religious Identity<\/em>. Dr. D\u2019Amico currently serves as President of the Harriet Beecher Stowe Society (www.stowesociety.org<\/a>) and is \u201cYear in Conferences\u201d Director of\u00a0ESQ<\/em>:\u00a0\u00a0A Journal of Nineteenth-Century American Literature and Culture.<\/em>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Robin L. Cadwallader<\/a> is Professor of English\/Communications and Women\u2019s Studies, chair of Literature & Languages, \u00a0and the director of the Women\u2019s Studies program at Saint Francis University, where she teaches courses in American literature, young adult and children\u2019s literature, literary theory, women\u2019s studies, and social responsibility. She has coedited three collections of essays:\u00a0Saving the World: Girlhood and Evangelicalism in Nineteenth-Century Literature<\/em>, with Allison Giffen (Routledge, 2018);\u00a0Reading Transatlantic Girlhood in the Long Nineteenth Century<\/em>, with LuElla D\u2019Amico (Routledge, 2020); and a special issue of\u00a0Women\u2019s Studies: An Interdisciplinary Journal<\/em>\u00a0on Rebecca Harding Davis, with Mischa Renfroe (2020). She has also edited an edition of Mary Rankin\u2019s\u00a0Daughter of Affliction: A Memoir of the Protracted Sufferings and Religious Experience of Miss Mary Rankin<\/em>\u00a0(RMTK Books, 2014); a small collection of\u00a0Rebecca Harding Davis\u2019s Stories for Boys<\/em>\u00a0(RMTK Books, 2018); and\u00a0Rebecca Harding Davis\u2019s Stories of the Civil War Era<\/em>, with Sharon M. Harris (University of Georgia Press, 2010).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
